May 19, 2025 - The Grand Theatre Board is now accepting applications for our next manager(s) of The Grand Theatre in Stamford, Texas. We are ideally seeking a full-time manager, but will consider multiple part-time positions for the right applicants. Please read through the following job description and requirements carefully. Job Overview:
The Theatre Manager(s) will be responsible for the full spectrum of operations, marketing, and guest experience at the Grand Theatre. This job includes administrative oversight, management, volunteer and staff coordination, budgeting, marketing, and community engagement. The ideal candidate is a proactive and organized individual with strong communication skills and a passion for creating a welcoming and memorable theatre experience.
Minimum qualifications:
Ability to work Friday, Saturday, and Sundays, some holidays, and occasional special events
Strong organizational, leadership, and time management skills
Experience managing staff and/or volunteers preferred
Customer service background strongly preferred
Working knowledge of audio/visual technology, proficient with computers and iPad operation
Experience with social media marketing and graphic design tools, preferred (e.g. Canva, Adobe Suite)
Basic knowledge of web design and site maintenance experience (Squarespace)Effective verbal and written communication skills
Highly reliable, proactive, and detail-oriented
Key Responsibilities:
Operations & Staff Management
Recruit, train, schedule, and manage theatre volunteers for weekend shows
Supervise and coordinate part-time theatre staff working Fridays through Sundays
Manage purchasing and maintain inventory for concessions and supplies, manager vendor relationsMeet delivery drivers and oversee inventory restocking
Prepare monthly reports for the theatre board
Manage the theatre calendar, including scheduling with studios
Oversee theatre operations every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday
Implement operational guidelines and policies set by the board
Marketing & Experience
Manage all digital marketing, including social media platforms and website (e.g. Squarespace)
Design and publish promotional graphics for print and digital useBuild and maintain relationships with donors, sponsors, and community partners
Seeking out of additional funding including grant applications, local grants, or other creative funding sources
Coordinate and promote special event screenings (e.g. private parties, school groups)
Enhance the guest experience through atmosphere, service, and engagementRepresent the theatre at local events and community functions
Salary commensurate with experience.
